Kidney Failure and Its Symptoms
Chronic kidney failure (CKD) or chronic kidney disease (CKD) is the kidney's loss of function over time.
CKD is usually in the early stage, progresses silently and may cause no symptoms. Symptoms usually occur in advanced stages when kidney functions begin to be lost.
Dialysis emerged as a life-saving treatment when diet and medical treatment did not yield results in the last stages of CKD.

CKD Symptoms are generally as follows;
- Fatigue, weakness
- Nausea, vomiting
- Concentration disorder
- Swelling in certain areas due to excess fluid retention in the body. These can be feet and ankles, hands, face area.
- Loss of appetite
- Sleep problems, muscle cramps at night
- Itching and dryness of the skin
- Chest pain (due to pericarditis)
- Respiratory distress (due to AC edema)
- Hypertension
- Headache
- Sexual dysfunctions
